James Retief is an Architectural Photographer based in London and working internationally. With a background in design-led architectural practice, he has since worked as a freelance photographer within architecture, fashion and design. Alongside his commercial commissions he is driven by research-led, self-initiated projects, his aim being to develop a meaningful visual language to convey and decipher the atmosphere of architectural space as well as document our built environment and his images are regularly published in major photography, architecture and design magazines.
